Light on Syria è un’installazione composta da una scultura e due foto.
Una mappa della Syria il cui confine è profilato da una palizzata di fiammiferi pronti a essere incendiati.
Le due foto mostrano appunto quello che la mappa fa presagire: “Light on” non significa solo “fare luce” ma anche “appiccare il fuoco”.
Questa è la metafora visiva costruita da G. P. Salle che intende accendere uno sguardo critico sulla complessa situazione siriana dove le molte parti in gioco attendono solo il momento opportuno per avviare l’innesco.
Light on Syria is an installation, consisting of a sculpture and two photos.

The two photos show, in fact, what the map portends: “Light on” does not only mean “shed a light on” but also “set fire”.
This is the visual metaphor built by G. P. Salle, who intends to turn a critical eye on the complex situation in Syria, where the many parties involved are only waiting for just the right moment to start the ignition.
