Che sia la morte di un soldato sul campo di battaglia o di un profugo in mare, Goran non ci mostra il corpo ma la sua assenza; così che il vuoto che rimane rappresenta non solo la morte dell’individuo ma la cancellazione della sua identità.
Goran Branko Vidovic, Bosnia. After the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (92-’93) Goran moved to France, and then to Italy. His works are focused on the war and its consequences.
Whether it be the death of a soldier on the battlefield, or of a refugee at sea, Goran never shows us the body, but its absence; so that, not only does the remaining void represent the individual’s death, but the cancellation of his identity.
